These neck cooling wraps really work! Great for use when working or playing outside, in a hot kitchen, of it you're my age.... during a hot flash. My dog loves his. Just tie loosely around your neck, as in the photos.
My husband loves his when he fishes. He hydrates it and keeps in the fridge in an open bowl -- throws it in his cooler as he packs his gear.
DO NOT PUT IN FREEZER! Don't store in a closed container or baggie. Leave it open -- mold loves wet, closed containers. It will get very chilled just soaking in cold water, even more chilled in the fridge.
Great gift for anyone that works outside. I have many occupation themed fabrics, including the postal themed one show. Convo for customs.
The cooling agent are non toxic (do not eat!) water pearls. They absorb a lot of water, in fact 1# is supposed to hold 50 gallons of water. Your necktie has less than a teaspoon full. (no its not heavy!)
Depending on when I made them, your pearls will come somewhat activated already. The reason for this is I create the tie while the pearls are fully hydrated. This is to assure there are just the right amount of pearls in the scarf. Some sellers don't do this extra step and the wraps are too full when hydrated. When hydrated they are literally bursting at the seams.
To fully activate, just soak again in water. Re-soak as needed. Reusable! Hang to dry. May be hand washed-- I like to work quickly, so I can get a good rinse.
My ties only have the pearls in the neck area, the tie ends do not. There are 3 compartments of pearls. This helps keep them distributed. Scarves are about 40" in length, and about half of that has pearls. The ties are about 10.5" long. This can vary depending on width of fabric
I have created a section called "tiny treasures". These are small inexpensive items. Check all when shopping, as I do free shipping when you buy $35. If you're like me, I'd rather spend $7 on an item and get something more than intangible postage.
Made in true etsy spirit, I bring the fabric home to my smoke and cat free home, cut and sew. I love customs please convo

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
