The theme on this gift basket is "walking the dog". I have included several items, all sewn by me, that a new pet owner -- or any dog owner will find convenient. These may be items they wouldn't think of themselves, but will appreciate.
Here is what is included: The basket, as shown has the paw print fabric on the outside and lined in a waterproof white fabric. While that doesn't make the basket able to hold water, it will allow easy clean up.
A bag that holds pet waste bags on one side, and treats on the other in fabric that coordinates (bones!) It has a swivel hook to attach wherever you like.
For the human, 2 scrunches to tie the hair back. And a cooling collar. This is probably something the new owner wouldn't have thought about! The collar is filled with water pearls, that when soaked in water hydrate and included to keep the human cool during hot walks-- the dog would love it too!
A fabric holder for hand sanitizer (also with swivel hook) and a fabric tissue holder (in case we touch the yucky stuff).
You can see they all fit nicely in the basket. You can add treats, a leash--- or nothing else and the basket will help keep all Barky's stuff in one place.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
