These handwriting and photo pillows are a great way to show a loved pic and a personal message. Its a great gift for mom, grandma, or dad.
Consider this item instead of a card! Even those high end 3D cards are tossed -- a pillow would be displayed and seen every day.
You can't ask for a more personal gift than your handwritten message or child's art recreated into a pillow. Find a letter or note and turn it into a letter pillow, using the person's own handwriting.
I print the photo on special fabric designed for this purpose, with extra fabric around, and fold under the edges, stitch to attach to the background fabric.
I adjust your signature lines to look well on the space. I will enlarge it to fill the pillow. So you get a different look in some cases than a small piece of paper. But you will get the essence of the writing. Thick lines of writing tend to be thicker lines when enlarged
I can send a proof by request-- please watch your emails if you do request one.
After ordering send a convo with the image and handwriting -- I will take it from there. No need to send me the original, I can work from a photo or scan (jpeg or png) Clear images work best-- especially watch for shadows in your photos.
I do not necessarily have a limit on words as other sellers. However, not all writing can be scanned. if you have questions, please convo...
I really take pride when I've taken some images that clients have said "you probably can't do this" and made it happen.
This is made in true etsy spirit. Not only do I create the image as explained above, but the item is made in my smoke free home. I bring the fabric home by the bolt, cut, apply the image using high heat and pressure and sew the cover. I don't used blanks.
Fabric is natural osnaburg or bleached white. The natural is a wonderful cotton to work with, many compare it to burlap or linen. Many prefer it to burlap as it doesn't have the odor or fray-- and is certainly softer. I have a room of fabric, so if you need something custom just ask. I have had clients do their own shopping and send me their fabric to make into a pillow.
This is made to order, but I don't have a long turnaround time. If you need it sooner, convo. I do not do rush fees, I either can or I can't. I'll be honest and let you know either way.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
