This memory shirt has a sentiment on the back, and retains the collar. It allows a larger sentiment than typically can be put on the front. Choose from either a custom sentiment or the "someone I (we) love in heaven".
As in the main pic, I've taken a clerical shirt from a minister and created this keepsake. The customer had a vision of the layout, and provided the Lutheran Cross patch that I incorporated in the design.
I take the shirt of your loved one and create a memory pillow with collar. I will use your provided shirt to cut, sew and embroider in my smoke free home.
First, if you are shopping for an item like this, I am sorry for your loss. This can be a difficult or sensitive time. I understand, and I really want to make this perfect.
This design is NOT suited for heavy or fleece lined shirts.
This is a wonderful memorial pillow, father's day gift, mother's day gift...
I take the shirt you provide and line it up-- square it up, and embroider as shown.
Please check you emails! I may have questions about thread colors, etc.
I've set the lead time at 3 to 4 weeks to allow time for transit of your shirt to me.
This shirt usually fits an 18" square insert. But some shirt sizes are smaller, if any adjustments are made, it will be communicated.
The last photo shows where I did a combination of a popular sentiment that I sell alone on the back of the shirt. It is avail as separate listing.
It will come complete with the insert.
After you purchase I will convo you my address to send your clean shirts to.
This design is appropriate for regular weight shirting and flannel. It is too thick for my sewing machines if quilted or heavy weight flannel or fleece. You can purchase the collar-less designs for thicker fabric. Purchase them here. https://www.etsy.com/listing/532138661/memorial-pillow-with-photo-your-shirt?ref=shop_home_active_1
I love making these Memory Pillows for many reasons -- it is something special, keeps the memory alive, and also the upcycling of a shirt is a way to keep the clothes of a missing loved one that are otherwise hard to part with.
This sentimental use for the old shirts, keeps the memories alive for small children, and keeps our own love-connection open. It brings our missing loved one into our current lives in a meaningful joyful way.
Please feel free to convo prior to purchasing.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
