This is a pocket prayer square made from the clothing of a loved one. This is a small piece of momento you can carry in your purse or pocket. It has a cross attached as shown. Everytime you touch the fabric, you are reminded of that person, and to give praise.
I do a lot of memory shirt items and am always looking for something to add to use the scraps. Clients also often have many they want to remember, but few clothing items to draw from.
The squares are about 2.5 to 3", and can vary depending on leftover fabric. I can do them solid or in patchwork.
This ships free with any memory shirt order I will credit it back any shipping cost if etsy doesn't automatically do this.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
