These are actual fingerprints that were of customers deceased relative, that were scanned and I was able to create this image-- and apply to a pillow.

How do I get a fingerprint? Babies are stamped at birth. For an adult, the funeral home may have the prints. The image above was obtained by the buyer contacting the funeral home.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
