These are actual fingerprints that were of a customer's deceased relative, that were scanned and I was able to create this image-- and apply to a pillow.

It is a tribute to remember the loss of a loved one. Families experiencing a loss often look for a remembrance. I lost a child during a pregnancy many years ago, and I felt the loss a long time.

Don't limit to bereavement. It can be a wonderful snapshot of a moment in time with a child, or wedding. I could see a child carrying this off to college.

This includes a line of text of your choice.

The prints shown are done in red and gray-- as was this clients choice. Because I am in full control of the manufacturing process, I can change colors, sizes, etc.

This is done on beautiful kona cotton, its a quilters standard.

Have a fingerprint you'd like created on a pillow? Lets talk! Not all prints can scan but I would be happy to review before you purchase.

You have a choice of about 14 or 18" square it comes with the insert and has a zipper in the back. Its ready for giving or display.

How do I get a fingerprint? Babies are stamped at birth. For an adult, the funeral home may have the prints. The image above was obtained by the buyer contacting the funeral home.

If a print is not available, I can use this image I created. Add the wording to suit the occasion. https://www.etsy.com/listing/491556847/fingerprint-heart-pillow-love?ga_search_query=finger&ref=shop_items_search_2

Tell me about osnaburg

I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
