The fabric is by Michael Miller and is 100% cotton. The back of the pillow is solid white. The recipient can still color-- I'm thinking she/he should sign their name and date!
Made in true etsy spirit, I brought this fabric to my smoke free home by the bolt-- I cut and sew the cover. It is about 18 x 18, and has a zipper in the back. It comes complete with the insert. it is ready for giving.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
