I take the shirt you provide and line it up-- square it up, and embroider as shown.
There is also a pic with an ornament. This was something I made out of sleeve (can also be shirt tails) of one of my shirts. I made this for a customer with not only the scraps, but she provided an image of his signature and I was able to incorporate it.
I like creating items with the parts of the shirts as shown... examples are a cosmetic bag, the ornament or a bear.

This shirt usually fits an 18" square insert. But some shirt sizes are smaller. So your pillow will come between 16 and 18" square.
The last photo shows where I did a combination of a popular sentiment that I sell alone on the back of the shirt. It is avail as separate listing.

IMPORTANT: This design (with collar) is appropriate for regular weight shirting and flannel. It is too thick for my sewing machines if quilted, heavy denim or heavy weight flannel or fleece. Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
