I will take your handwriting sample and convert to fabric, and finished patch. I did the one above for a bride to sew in her wedding dress. They also are great as in the jacket of the groom. Others have been sewn into quilts as labels.
The sample was a photo of a tattoo. It was an image of her father's writing who will be attending the wedding in spirit. Typically I do these in plain cotton, but the bride had me make a memory shirt pillow, the patch was made from a scrap. So, its from a shirt the father used to wear. I've included a photo of the pillow and patch together. Please remember this listing is for the patch only!
All you do is provide me with a small sample of writing via convo and I'll take it from there. it can be a card or other note. It will be recreated on white kona cotton, a standard for quilters, unless you have another preference.
This is a patch in heart shape with finished satin edges. Its about 5" wide, 4" plus tall.
This can be an ideal way to remember a loved one who has passed, or simply to take the best wishes of those dearest to you with you. It can be a note to your groom.
The handwriting will be reproduced in heat transfer material on an finished cotton patch. Keep in mind, often I'm taking a small image and expanding it, so sometimes it looks a bit different. You will get the essence of the writing.
Choose your image color if you have a color in mind, just let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you.
Labels can be sewn in by the seamstress doing your dress alterations. It only takes a bit of hand sewing to attach to the dress or jacket, so the bride or a family member can do it as well. It is a sew in patch!
My customers have come up with the best uses for this! Many have had them sewn in the wedding dress, typically the hem. Some, a quilt label.
I also do this with a unfinished edge.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.

The handwriting patches are absolutely perfect. I purchased three: two for my grandparents and one for my mom. I'll have them sewn into my wedding dress close to my heart. I showed them to my sisters and they want some of their own.
