I can make more than pillows with items from the loved ones clothing. This is a listing for a cosmetic bag, made from the scraps of a shirt. In the one with the buttons, its a scrap from the tail of the shirt. Or with a memory shirt or as a stand alone item.

First, if you are shopping for an item like this, I am sorry for your loss. This can be a difficult or sensitive time. I understand I really want to make this perfect.

This is a wonderful memorial pillow, father's day gift, mother's day gift...

Because this item need to be stablized, the best shirts are those in woven material. Ironing is part of the process, so they need to be able to be ironed. Very heavy weight and very lightweight materials may not be suitable.

I can add photo and signatures, as I do in my shirts.

I've set the lead time at 2 to 3 weeks to allow time for transit of your shirt to me.

After you purchase I will convo you my address to send your clean shirts to.

I love making these Memory Pillows for many reasons -- it is something special, keeps the memory alive, and also the upcycling of a shirt is a way to keep the clothes of a missing loved one that are otherwise hard to part with.

This cute, fun, and sentimental use for the old shirts, keeps the memories alive for small children, and keeps our own love-connection open. It brings our missing loved one into our current lives in a meaningful joyful way.

Please feel free to convo prior to purchasing.

Tell me about osnaburg

I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
