I make these in true etsy spirit. I bring the fabrics home by the bolt to my smoke free home. I cut, embroider and apply the image.
Base fabric is cotton.
Glam it up-- I offer organza gift bags. They don't obscure the item but just add some frosting. Colors in the bag may be clear, gold or silver.. will vary by what is available. Its in the last picture with the yellow version.
The pillow comes complete with insert. It has a zipper in the back. It is ready for giving or display.

Tell me about osnaburg
I love using osnaburg fabric. Its a natural heavily woven cotton. It has a nice texture that many compare to linen or burlap. Many of my designs are very dense, and it takes the stitches better than a flat fabric. Sometimes there is a random thread that doesn't take the color or bleach.Just like you'd see in linen or burlap. There aren't a lot of them, sometimes we won't see one in a project, other times you'll get one or two. They are super small, visualize a single thread woven in about an inch of the fabric. The fabric may also have a slub, this is not a snag, with a hole as if you snagged a sweater. Nature doesn't create cotton uniformly and most embrace the organic look. Neither are flaws.
